For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. Audrey Hepburn
Hello, and welcome to my Pages From Joan Blog! I am a Christ-follower, wife, a mom, a Jojo to two beautiful grands, and a writer who lives just north of Atlanta, Georgia, in the U.S.A.

I love my God, my family, girlfriends, adventures, and worthy causes. My husband of more than three decades and I have raised a daughter and a son together. Both are now married and parents to their first-borns who arrived 8/24/18 (Tripp Andrews) and 9/7/18 (Elizabeth Page).
My Mama told me more than a few times in the last decade of her life that I should’ve been named Joy instead of Joan. Perhaps that’s because she saw me always looking for inspiration that might encourage and bring joy to others as well as myself. Adopted at age three, Mama was forever grateful for the family who snatched her up from an orphanage in Mississippi. My Mama is the one who taught me to be continually grateful, to keep a prayerful heart, and to keep an eye out for joy at every turn in the road ahead.
*I am currently working on my first book: Twelve Lessons My Mama Taught Me: Life Instructions for You and Me. This is a big deal for me, so I am planning to zero in , focus upon this project and “get her done” by year-end 2019.
My hope is that you will find something here that will inspire you, encourage you, and help you to learn.
