Yes, Nurses Use Stethoscopes

Beautiful doctor being really happy with her work.

After Monday’s episode of The View, I couldn’t stand back and not weigh in…not speaking up on behalf of all of the nurses I know…

…not to mention the millions I do not know. The regular daily show The View made a very bad choice, making snarky comments about Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson and belittling a field that most humans, including myself, hold dear: Nursing.

Watch Kelley Johnson’s monologue, along with Monday’s comments from The View here.

I have many friends and family members who chose Nursing for their career path and I wrote about 12 Reasons Why I Love Nurses back on December first of 2014 entitled:

12 Reasons Why I Love Nurses And Their Profession.

I have always thought highly of nurses. In my mind, there is no way our doctors can do their job well without the nurses who go ahead of them. [pullquote]I think one’s feelings waste themselves in words; they ought all be distilled into actions which bring results.” Florence Nightingale[/pullquote] While following a Facebook page entitled “Show Me Your Stethoscope”, I learned even more about the field of nursing. Here are a few of the pictures/messages I pulled off of that page. IMG_5798 IMG_5799 IMG_5801 IMG_5803 IMG_5804 IMG_5805 IMG_5806 IMG_5807 IMG_5808 IMG_5809 IMG_5810 IMG_5811 IMG_5812 IMG_5813 IMG_5814 IMG_5815 IMG_5816 IMG_5817 IMG_5818 IMG_5819 IMG_5820 IMG_5821 IMG_5822 IMG_5823 IMG_5824

Who do you know that is a nurse

that you can give your thanks to today ?

What happened on The View this past Monday

is turning out to be not such a bad thing…

JUST look at all that folks across the

globe are learning about the true role

and genuine heart of a Registered Nurse.

Thankfully, most nurses have a great sense of humor, too.
